Half Day Team Building

Come as a group. Leave as a team.

A half-day discover scuba immersion built for intact teams. The focus is the group: how you communicate when words are gone, how you pair up, who checks on whom, and how quickly your team notices when someone is struggling. Every in-water task requires a partner, so collaboration is not a theme we discuss — it is the only way the exercise works. The debrief maps what happened in the water onto how your team handles handoffs, pressure, and each other back at the office.

What the day looks like

A sample timeline. Exact timings are set with you and can be shaped around a conference agenda.

  1. Arrival

    Meet and welcome

The group meets in Palm Beach. Belongings stay secured on land. Coffee, introductions, and the day's frame.

  2. +30 min

    Briefing and skills

Full safety and equipment briefing, then shallow-water practice of the handful of skills you need. Nothing is rushed and nothing is a surprise.

  3. +1 hr

    First immersion

The team enters the water in pairs with instructors alongside. The first immersion is about settling, breathing, and getting comfortable.

  4. +2 hr

    Surface interval

Back on the beach. Water, snacks, and a short structured conversation about what each person noticed in themselves and in their partner.

  5. +2.5 hr

    Second immersion

A task-based dive that requires the team to coordinate without speech.

  6. +3.5 hr

    Facilitated debrief

The core of the program. A guided session connecting what the team just did to how it actually works day to day, ending in specific commitments.

The Debrief

The part that makes it stick.

Every program ends in a facilitated debrief rather than a photograph. During the day we watch and record specific behavior — how people pair up, who notices distress, who takes charge, who quietly steadies everyone else. Nothing raised afterward is theoretical. It happened, and everyone saw it.

The conversation is structured to move from what happened, to what it meant, to what changes on Monday. It is facilitated so that quieter people speak and senior people listen, and it ends with named commitments rather than good feelings. Thirty days later we follow up to test whether they held.
