Private Instruction

Skill, built deliberately.

Private PADI certification and continued instruction in Palm Beach, built around your pace, your schedule, and your goals.

01 — Who It's For

A more considered way to learn.

Private instruction is for those who want quiet, careful teaching not a weekend course shared with strangers. The format suits a range of students.

  • Individuals who prefer personal attention to a group classroom
  • Executives integrating diving into broader personal development
  • Families learning to dive together, at a shared pace
  • South Florida residents who want certification taught at a higher standard
  • Travelers who need certification on a compressed timeline

02 — Your Instructor

Jessica Stich.

When you dive with Jessica, you are diving with an instructor who has certified over 180 students across dive, specialty and emergency response disciplines with a clean safety record across all instruction.

She holds a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor rating, a USCG-endorsed Captain's license and has advanced medical training that led her to be designated Medical Person In Charge training aboard vessels.

Her teaching experience spans recreational students, professional dive crews, and private clients whose engagements required discretion. Before founding Thalassa, she captained a 50-foot catamaran in the British Virgin Islands and crewed aboard private superyachts in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Thalassa was built to bring that same standard of personal, attentive instruction to private students in South Florida.

03 — What's Included

Everything you need to certify.

  • PADI eLearning materials and certification processing
  • All required equipment
  • A schedule built around your availability
  • Direct one-on-one instruction, or a small private group for families and pairs
  • Certifications from Open Water to Continuing Education

04 — Format & Pace

Built around you, not a timetable.

Each session is unhurried. There is time for questions, time for repetition, and time to build genuine confidence in the water. You are never rushed through a skill to keep pace with a group.

The instruction moves at the speed of your readiness.

05 — Beyond Certification

A relationship, not a course.

Many students continue past Open Water — Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, specialty certifications, or simply continued guided diving with an instructor they have come to trust. Continuing instruction is available, structured the same way: privately, at your pace.
